Aufgabe 3

Reading

Read the text and mark the right answers below.

The Hitchcocks live in a very old house. Their grandmother is very old, too. She is 99 years old. She often tells the children stories. The children Sara and Jason like Grandma’s stories. They are always very exciting (aufregend).

Listen! Grandma is telling a story. She is upstairs in Sara’s room with the children. Suddenly the door of Sara’s bedroom opens, but there is nobody outside the room. Sara and Jason take Grandma’s hand. It’s dark in the house and in the garden. It’s windy outside. ”What’s that in the garden?” Jason shouts. “I can see something white behind the tree!” Sara says. “Look, it’s jumping up the tree. Is it a ghost?” The children are quiet now. They can hear their mum downstairs in the kitchen.
“Jason, come downstairs and help me to take this big box into our garden house, please.” Jason answers, “I’m sorry, Mum. I’m so tired. Sara can help you.” But Sara says, “I’m tired, too. Dad can help you. He is in the living room. He is watching TV.” “Okay, kids, you are so tired. Well, no TV tomorrow evening and you can go to bed very early tomorrow!” Mum says from the kitchen.
*exciting = aufregend
